Armed with the Word of God, you can dash false teachings and grow closer to the True God, Yahweh, through Jesus Christ.
You must read the Bible yourself and grow in understanding through prayer to the True & Living God in the name of His Son, Yeshua Messiah. He is the pathway to The Father and to eternal life.
